When people think Atlanta, they usually think CNN. As a leading national news channel, CNN has correspondents all over the world, but the station has remained true to its roots. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, its headquarters occupy the majority of the space in the towering stony grey complex, appropriately named the CNN Center. Studio tours of the CNN Center are available on weekdays free of charge and guests may also schedule to enter viewing galleries, at which they will have the opportunity to watch the production process and to see the nationally televised anchors of CNN firsthand! For those who work up an appetite on the tour, the Center hosts an atrium food court that is a favorite of local professionals working in the area. The Center itself is directly connected to the Philips Arena, the main indoor stadium in the metro Atlanta area.

During the winter season, the NBA's Atlanta Hawks and the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers play host here. For out of town guests, the Omni Hotel is also conveniently located within the complex. While it may seem like a natural fit now, the building originally did not host or even associate with CNN; it was created for the Omni International Complex in the 1970's. However, when CNN sought to move its headquarters from the Midtown to Downtown, the successful marriage was made. Today, guests from all across the country can enjoy gaining rare access into the inner workings of an international news channel at the CNN Center.
