Coffs Harbour Racecourse is where various horse-racing events area held and is also currently the place to rub shoulders with Coffs Harbour’s elite. Race events such as the Melbourn Cup, the Calfield Cup, Cox Plate, Golden Slipper and various other group races are held here. The most popular of which is its Coffs Cup. The cup has evolved into a big social gathering for Coffs Harbour’s most prominent families and personalities The Coffs Harbour Race Club is now a popular meeting, event and conference venue as well.

The club developed alongside the racecourse since the year 1945. Many developments and renovations have made the race course and club what it is today. Certain events like weddings, family gatherings, conferences and others are now being held in the many function rooms of the race club.

These rooms are the Merv Mercer Room which has a capacity of 750 persons. The Jim Browning Lounge has a seating capacity of 150. The Corporate Lounge can accommodate 120 persons and the Trackside Lounge can seat around 60. Each room comes with their own amenities and features.

Just two minutes away from the town center, it is conveniently near the Coffs Harbour Airport as well. The office hours of the racecourse are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The nearest hotel accommodations recommended are the Novotel Coff Harbour Resort and the Absolute Beachfront Opal Cove Resort.
