College of Santa Fe (CSF) is a private liberal arts college founded in 1857. CSF has just under 2,000 students enrolled in degree and continuing education programs annually. Begun as a Lasallian (Catholic) school of the French monastic order, the school continues to be respected for its academics.

Major academic programs include the Social Sciences Program, the Contemporary Music Program, the Creative Writing Program, the Visual Arts Program and the Environmental Science Program. As many of the CSF students come from outside of New Mexico, there is a great deal of activities for students living on campus. As of 11/09, CSF is at risk to closing down due to a lack of funding. Governor Richardson has authorized a task force to prevent the college’s closing.
