Another one of the secondary education institutions in Albany, The College of Saint Rose is a four-year private co-ed college. The relatively small school has only 5,000 students, roughly half of which are undergraduates.

Originally founded in 1920 by The Sisters of Saint Joseph, The College of Saint Rose is one of the country's many Roman Catholic colleges. The school's academic programs include Bachelor's degrees in a wide array of subjects, as well as advanced graduate degrees. The school is also known for a dual degree plus program for fields such as Law and Medical Engineering.

A number of notable academics and general famous people have attended The College of Saint Rose, including radical theologian Mary Daly, Judith Enck, New York's state Deputy Secretary for the Environment, and Jimmy Fallon from Saturday Night Live.
