Built in 1971, the Golden Triangle Regional Airport (formerly known as the Columbus Airport) serves the cities of Columbus, Starkville, and West Point, Mississippi. The airport offers direct flights to both Memphis and Atlanta, which serve as hubs for the major commercial airline Delta. The airport terminal is equipped with free Wi-Fi for passengers, as well as comfortable seating and flat screen TVs. This airport is rapidly growing, with a 6,000 foot expansion planned for January of 2010.
