The Columbus Crew was one of the initial teams in the USA's attempt at major league soccer. After starting out their career playing at a football stadium, the team's owner built a stadium just for soccer.

Located on The State Fairgrounds, close to The Ohio Expo Center, The Columbus Crew Stadium seats 22,500 soccer fans. It is only the second stadium in the entire country built specifically for soccer. The first game that was hosted here was in 1999, with The Columbus Crew taking on The New England Revolution.

The Columbus Crew Stadium hosts more than just its teams games, serving as the home to one Women's World Cup, a few World Cup qualifying matches for men's teams, and even non-soccer sports. A NCAA Men's College Cup national football championship was played there, as well as The Westerville Football Classic.

From time to time, the stadium also switches gears and has musical concerts. A yearly festival of rock bands, Rock on the Range, takes place there, and country group Rascal Flatts has also played a show there.

The Columbus Crew Stadium is open just for games and special events, so check the website for listings, and get your tickets online as well.
