Commerce Square, otherwise known as the Praça do Comércio, is in Lisbon, Portugal. It is near the Tagus River and was the location of the Royal Ribeira Palace until its destruction in the earthquake of 1755. The square is today known as Commerce Square, to emphasize its importance in the city of Lisbon's economy. Government bureaus regulating port activities and customs moved into the square. In 1775, the bronze equestrian statue of King Jose I, the first statue dedicated to a king in Lisbon, was erected.

Commerce Square was also the site of the assassination of King Carlos I in 1908.
