Coolidge Park (River Park) is one of Chattanooga’s waterfront parks located at 150 River Street on the North Shore. With a 100 year-old carousel, a large pavilion and a fountain in which the kids can play, there are a lot of activities.

The carousel in the park is open Monday to Saturday 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday 1-6 Labor Day to Memorial Day. Summer hours are extended until 8 pm. Admission is $1 for adults and $.50 for children. The fountain is open 8 am to 10:30 pm, seven days a week. No pets are allowed in the park.

Accommodations nearby include the Delta Queen Hotel on 100 River Street, a steamboat converted into an elegant landmark hotel. The Bluff View Inn on 411 East 2nd Street is another excellent option, along with the Courtyard Chattanooga on Chestnut.
