Coors Brewery is the main beer brewery of the world’s fifth-largest brewing company, the Molson Coors Brewery Company. Located in Golden, Colorado, the brewery dates back to the efforts of German immigrants in 1873. Over the years it has survived, grown and thrived to become the force that it is today, responsible for several beers such as Coors, Keystone and Killian’s Irish Red. The brewery can brew up to 22 million barrels annually.
Visitors can tour the brewery and see the brewhouse, malthouse and packaging complex to get a firsthand look at what goes on inside. Free tours are provided year round and conclude with product samples. These tours take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday through Monday and on Sundays from noon to 4:00 p.m. Visitors can pass through the gift shop as well.
