The Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was founded on May 22, 1960. At first, the congregation only consisted of 45 people who worshipped in the McNab Elementary School Cafeterial. Two years later on March 18, 1962, the congregation was moved to another building; however, after growing substantially during the 1970s Coral Ridge had to expand—people were literally standing in a line which spanned the block just to get into the Sunday service. The movie, Like a Mighty Army was made about the congregation of Coral Ridge and it depicted these vast queues. Finally, by 1973 new facilities were built. Today the Church offers three Sunday morning services with traditional (complete with a 6600 pie Ruffati organ) and modern worship.
