Coronet Peak is located in the northeast area of the Queensland town in New Zealand. It is a commercial ski resort that was first opened in 1947 with only a single rope tow to accommodate climbing skiers. It is a world renowned ski resort that affirms the beliefs that New Zealand is a place to go to.

It is only a twenty minute drive away from the central area of Queenstown. In early years, the resort was the first ever to have double then treble chairlifts with also introducing in the year 1994 the second high speed quad chairlift.

The resort is well known for its world-class facilities. The ski resort offers night skiing and is only one of the few ski fields that offers this activity. Ski runs on the peak are the Big Easy for beginners, Greengates and Shirtfront for intermediate skiers and the Exchange Drop and Back Bowls for the expert skier.

The resort also offers children’s facilities such as the Skiwiland Early Learning Centre, a program that educates younger children regarding Snow sports. The resort also has cafes and restaurants such as the Coronet Peak Café, Coronet Peak Restaurant, Mexicana Cantina and the Heidi’s Hut at Rocky Gully.
