Craigdarroch Castle, located at 1050 Joan Crescent in Victoria, British Columbia, is a Chateau-style mansion built in the Victorian era. Coal baron Robert Dunsmuir had the house built as his family home in the 1890s by architects Warren Williams and Arthur L. Smith. The castle's four stories feature antique period furnishings including stained glass and ornate woodwork. Today, visitors can tour the magnificent rooms of Craigdarroch Castle, which is operated by the non-profit Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society. If you are feeling particularly athletic on your visit, you may take advantage of the gorgeous views of the city and landscape afforded by the 87-step climb to the top of the tower.

Castle opening hours are daily from 10 Am to 4:30 PM, and admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, $8 for students, and $4 for children 6-18.
