Croxteth Hall and Country Park is in Liverpool and is considered to be one of he most important heritage sites in the UK, helping to make Liverpool the winner of the European Capital of Culture 2008.
The park lays at the heart of what was once a great country estate stretching hundreds of square miles and was the ancestral home of the Molyneux family, the Earls of Sefton. After the death of the last Earl it was the City of Liverpool became its seed.
Its four main attractions are: The Historic Hall, Croxteth Home Farm, the Victorian Walled Garden and a 500 acre country park including the new Croxteth Local Nature Reserve. A new addition offered at Croxteth is the West Derby Courthouse. Dating from the reign of Elizabeth I, this is one of the oldest and impresive public buildings in Liverpool.
Since 2003 the park got an award presented after a screening process by Visit Britain which assessed Croxteth for its facilities and levels of service: Quality Assured Visitor Attraction. It has also been judged to be of Green Flag quality - a National Standard for parks.
Shops in the Hall and farm offer a wide range of souvenirs, sweets and gifts for all ages. A large and very varied events programme are ranged from gentle walks through the countryside to fun dog shows. Free of charge events is the policy.

Whether it's a business conference, civil wedding ceremony and reception, other civil ceremony or private function, it is ideally situated to cater for everybody’s requirements. For a larger function, using a marquee on the lawns can be considered.
