The Port of Baltimore has a dedicated terminal for passengers of cruise liners which is located at 2001 East McComas Street, on Locust Point (a small peninsula that juts out into the Chesapeake Bay and which, famously, houses Fort McHenry, where during the War of 1812 Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics to the US national anthem).

The South Locust Point Marine Terminal, as it is officially known, occupies a converted warehouse with 65,000 square feet of floor space. The facility (along with the parking lot next to it and the cost of the dredging to allow large ships to dock) cost a total of $13 million.
The cruise terminal is located in the center of town and only a few minutes in car from the famous Inner Harbor, sitting right along side Interstate 95.

The terminal is close to a variety of hotel and lodging options, such as the Baltimore Hotel Rooms, Henderson's Wharf Inn, and the Admiral Fell Inn.
