For years now, it has been established that technology is not limited within the Ozone layer, as it extends far and beyond into outer space. Some of these technologies include earth stations stationed all over the earth, and one of these is the Cyberjaya satellite earth station.

The earth station is located in Cyberjaya in the Province of Selangor, Malaysia. It was opened in June 30, 2005, and is owned by Telekom Malaysia Berhad. It is not the first of the earth satellite stations in Cyberjaya, in fact, it is the seventh one that has been launched. Cyberjaya was chosen as the location for the earth satellite as it is located right in the heart of the multimedia Super Corridor or MSC of Malaysia. This allows Telekom Malaysia Berhad to expand its services not only to local companies but also to foreign companies that are located in the area. The earth satellite is said to be able to provide services to petrol stations, logging camps, resorts, airports, and remote hotels located in the area.
