Dedicated to educating locals and visitors about the history of Dallas and North Central Texas, the Dallas Heritage Village at Old City Park is a living history museum. It is situated in Dallas' historical Old City Park. The Village is composed of numerous buildings modeled after those constructed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Spread out over 13 acres of woods, there are 38 buildings in total. The grounds also include a working Civil War era farm and a church from the period. Within these buildings the museum displays a number of exhibits representing the period 1840-1910. It also hosts educational programs for children and adults throughout the year. One trip to the Dallas Heritage Village is all one needs to see that learning history truly can be fun.

The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Tickets are priced at $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, and $4 for children. For those seeking nearby accommodations, consider the Sheraton Dallas Hotel.
