The Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance opened in 1984 with the mission of “preserving the memory of the Holocaust, and to teaching the moral and ethical response to prejudice, hatred and indifference, for the benefit of all humanity.” Located in the West End neighborhood of Dallas, the Dallas Holocaust Museum hosts more than 50,000 visitors annually, with the majority of its visitors coming from the multitude of educational programs hosted by the museum.

The Dallas Holocaust Museum’s current exhibition, A Day in The Life of The Holocaust, focuses on the differing responses of bystanders in the Holocaust, focusing on the events of a single day in 1943. The museum is currently housed at a temporary location, at 211 North Record Street, while plans for a new facility are finalized. The current location places visitors in walking distance of attractions such as the Texas School Book Depository, the JFK Memorial, and Ferris Park.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10 A.M. until 5 P.M., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 A.M. until 5 P.M. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for military personnel, seniors, and students. Parking is available on-site.
