Dallas Love Field is an airport owned and operated by the city of Dallas. The airport is located some seven miles to the northwest of downtown Dallas or about twenty minutes from the heart of the city, and the Downtown Convention Center and Dallas Market Center. The airport was named after First Lieutenant Moss Lee Love who was killed while practicing for his Military Aviator Test. Two airlines, Southwest and American, operate from Love Field and serve 60 cities throughout the US. There are hotels and motels nearby. Long term and short term parking are available as well.
