Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW), located between the sister cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, has the most traffic of any airport in the state of Texas. Among other features denoting its size, the airport has its own postal designation, recognizing it as an individual town (DFW, Texas). In terms of aircraft movements, it is in the top 10 of the world’s busiest airports.

While the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth had many different individual airports over the years, with the state’s expansion in the 1960s, it became clear that the cities would need to have a joint airport. The latest version was opened in the early 1970s. There are five terminals in the modern airport. American Airlines operates out of Terminals A and C, American Eagle has its main operations out of Terminal B and the International flights come into Terminal D.

Parking is available in short and long-term facilities at DFW. Ground transportation in all forms is also available, with several rental car companies on site. Banking services, shopping, dining and much more are all available in this large airport.
