If the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum does not impress visitors, its location surely will. The Danubiana rests in the unusual position on the borders of Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary, just 15 kilometers south of Bratislava.

While being one of the youngest museums of modern art in Europe, the Danubiana's collection does not appear immature. The two main collections, the Meulensteen and Danubiana, feature acclaimed international and national artists. Opened on September 9, 2000, the Danubiana Museum even houses an art shop for those looking to take home postcards pieces of the museum.

Travelers can visit the museum everyday, with the exception of Mondays. During summer months, the Danubiana's doors remain open 10AM to 8PM. Throughout winter, the museum remains open 10AM to 6PM. Admission costs 4 euros per adult.
