Danville Amtrak Station

Built in 1899 based upon plans by Frank Pierce Milburn, the Danville, Virginia Amtrak Station is an important historical and travel site. The Danville Station is a stop on Amtrak’s Crescent line, which runs daily between Penn Station in New York City and New Orleans Passenger Terminal in New Orleans. It is conveniently located near the Hampton Inn and the Marriott for visitors wishing to stay nearby.

Because of its long history, the Danville Amtrak Station is also an important historical landmark. In 1995, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, it is a part of the campus of the Danville Science Center of the Science Museum of Virginia.
