Located at 840 Second Street in Davis, California, the Davis Amtrak Station is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites due to its old, classic architecture in the southwestern Spanish colonial style. The station was built in the year 1868 by the California Pacific Railroad and originally connected Davis with West Sacramento, Vallejo and Marysville in the surrounding area. The station was subsequently passed over to the ownership of the Central Pacific Railroad in 1871.

The station is presently part of three rail lines operated by Amtrak: the California Zephyr, the Capitol Corridor and the Coast Starlight. The station includes a staffed ticketing and baggage area with a waiting room. Services at the station include help with baggage during station hours, use of the waiting room, restrooms and payphones also during station hours. Those hours are 4:15am through 11:33pm every day of the week.
