The oldest and the largest station of the Dutch city of Hague is the Den Haag Centraal. It has twelve tracks and so it is regarded as the largest terminal station. This station is located next to the Den Haag Statsspoor an older station. The Den Haag central railway station was into full fledge operations from the year 1973. Den Haag Centraal railway station is the main transportation hub.

Nederlandse Spporwegen made a decision to construct a Centraal Station in Hague in the year 1970. The reason behind this was that this station was for the mainline trains that run behind Amsterdam and Rottedam. But then Hague wanted the station to be located around the Staatsspoor station therefore the Den Haag central railway station was constructed near to it.
