The Den Helder Zuid station was opened in the year 1980 on 31st May. This station is situated in the northern region of Holland. It is one station that connects Den Helder and Heerhugowaard. The locations of this station are approximately 9 kilometers from Callantsoog and 7 kilometers from Warmenhuizen. The Schiphol airport is situated at 60 kilometers from Den Helder Zuid railway station.

This station has two intercity trains running between different stations. The first intercity train runs between the stations of Den Helder and Den Helder Zuid. It runs two times in a day but then it is not available for a return journey to the Den Helder station. The second intercity train runs after every two hours in a day and halts on the stations like Alkmaar – Zaandam, Castricum, Amsterdam Sloterdijk and many more.
The major attraction near to this railway station is the Zee-aquarium Bergen which attracts a lot of people. The golf course of Noordhollandse GC is one another major attractive site for those traveling to this station. The Den Helder lighthouse is a major landmark that lies very near to the Den Helder Zuid station. This lighthouse is known to be the tallest in the continent of Europe.
