Owned by the City and County of Denver, the Denver Convention Center, also known as the Colorado Convention Center (or CCC) first opened in 1990. The CCC features exhibit space, meeting rooms, and ballroom space. In 1999 it expanded to also include the Wells Fargo Theater. Walk the pedestrian bridge connecting the Convention Center to the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and find 9 more theaters showcasing a variety of musical and theatrical performances. Stop by the CCC for exciting annual events like the Great American Beer Festival, the Colorado State Spelling Bee, the Colorado Ski and Snow Sports Expo, and the World Science Fiction Convention. If planning a visit, the CCC has its own parking structure with 1,000 spaces, or guests can use the light rail and get off right at the CCC’s Regional Transportation District stop via the D, F, and H lines.
