Housed in the former home of Denver’s Fire Station Number 1, built in 1909, the Denver Firefighters Museum has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979, and welcomes over 20,000 visitors annually.

This public, non-profit museum boasts over 11,000 square-feet of display space, with three separate galleries displaying over 30,000 artifacts. Especially notable is the children’s gallery, which allows kids to slide down a fire pole, touch fire fighting tools, and displays a real fire truck

The Denver Firefighters Museum is located at 1326 Tremont Place in downtown Denver, just a few minutes on foot to the Colorado State Capitol, Denver Public Library, the central business district of Denver, and famous Lower Downtown (LoDo). The Museum is open Monday through Friday, from 10 A.M. until 4 P.M., and admission ranges from $4 - $6, with discounted admission available to firefighters or families thereof.
