The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, also known as the DSO, is based in Detroit Michigan and has been active since 1914. The orchestra holds performances throughout the world, but its main performance center is Orchestra Hall at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in the Midtown neighborhood of Detroit.

In addition to being the home of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Midtown, Detroit is also home to the Detroit Public Library, Wayne State University and the Detroit Historical Museum. Midtown is full of various galleries, restaurants and newly-built condos and luxury apartments.
