Deutsches Eck (also called the German Corner) is the spot where the Mosel River meets the Rhein River in Koblenz, Germany. Flags at this site representing all 16 states of Germany's Federal Republic, including the former states from East Germany, are posted there. An equestrian statue was erected there in 1897, honoring former German Emperor Wilhelm I. It was destroyed during World War II, but replaced in 1993. Three concrete parts of the former Berlin Wall are also at Deutsches Eck. A sightseeing train runs close to Deutsches Eck and shows tourists the main points of interest in the town of Koblenz.
