Devils Lake Amtrak Station

Hotels near Devils Lake Amtrak Station, Devils Lake, United States .

It might be difficult to find a flight to more remote parts of the country, but the great thing about America is that the trains still go pretty much everywhere. Even though roughly 20 passengers board or exit each train that rolls through the sleepy Devils Lake Amtrak Station, its very existence means that getting to The Lakes District and all of its rustic beauty is a lot easier than renting a car.

Originally built during the heyday of train travel by The Great Northern Railway, the Devils Lake Amtrak Station has been on The National Register of Historic Places since 1989. The station is now operated by Amtrak, which operates its Empire Builder line, which stops at a few other North Dakota cities before heading off for either coast.

A simple station, there is no ticket office or Quik-Trak Machine at Devils Lake Amtrak Station, so be sure to get your tickets purchased ahead of time. During station hours, both pay phones and restrooms are available for use for passengers. There's also an enclosed waiting area, which is a great relief during inclement weather. There's also free parking for all passengers.

Located close to the town's commercial district, Devils Lake Amtrak Station is just a short distance from a number of hotels. Some of the closest are The City Center Motel, Trails West Motel, and a Fireside Inn and Suites.
