For anyone who ever wished the could see a real, live dinosaur, the Dinosaur Walk Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, may just be the next best thing. Walk through exhibits featuring life-size, realistic, dinosaur sculptures- instead of the usual fossils and bones- including a two-story-high Tyrannosaurus Rex. Designed by paleo-artists, these sculptures or “flesh replications” feature outstanding details and accuracy, and were created by some of the most knowledgeable experts in the field using actual fossils and footprints as resources. The Dinosaur Walk movie theater regularly shows informative and educational movies about these impressive creatures, while the Kid’s Club entertains even the youngest of dinosaur enthusiasts. Exhibits in the museum include Swimming Dinosaurs, T. Rex, Stegosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Allosaurus and Parasaurolophus. Visit the museum from 9am-6pm, open every day except Christmas Day. Admissions are $9.95 for Adults, $6.95 for children aged 4-18, and free for children under 3 (prices not including tax).
