There's no shortage of diverse entertainment options in Disney. But a visit to Disney is more than just time spent at those classic parks of Epcot and The Magic Kingdom. Just as much fun can be had at some of the newer resort/entertainment centers, where more diverse entertainment combines with classic Disney magic.

Disney's BoardWalk is both a hotel and an entertainment complex, and draws families and more mature travelers alike with its exciting lakeside activities. There are a number of different options for travelers looking for a room inside the park, including The Disney BoardWalk Inn, situated right on Crescent Lake and done up in Pacific Northwest seaside fashions. For an even more spacious place to stay, travelers can also rent one of Disney's BoardWalk Villas, with kitchens and separate bedrooms. The Villas are reserved first for Disney Vacation Club members, but when members do not have them booked, anyone can rent one.

Aside from lounging in one's seaside-themed room or taking a boat ride around Crescent Lake, travelers spending time at Disney's BoardWalk can also enjoy the entertainment district itself. Like sideshows and beach-side retreats of days past, Disney's BoardWalk offers up midway games, street performers, kitschy souvenir shops, and a number of different restaurants. You can practically smell the salt water taffy.

Disney's BoardWalk also features a large number of restaurants, including the only microbrewery in all of the Disney resorts and parts, as well as a more upscale restaurant, called Kouzzina, serving Italian-inspired, sophisticated Mediterranean dishes. Restaurants are open for both lunch and dinner, and there's even a sports club for those sports fans.

Located between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's BoardWalk is in an excellent location for travelers hopping to do some park hopping but longing for a slightly less character-laden hotel to return home to.
