Located in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, you may be surprised to find the beautiful and expansive Dixon Gallery & Gardens. Its 17 acres of land are the setting for artwork focused on French and American impressionism, works by Monet and Renoir and the Stout Collection of 18th century German porcelain. The museum is surrounded by four outdoor gardens filled with Greco-Roman sculpture.

The Dixon Gallery and Gardens opened in 1976 with the aim of providing a rich cultural experience to all passersby. Between its fine art collection, decorative art collection and thriving gardens, it is among the most aesthetically pleasing attractions in the Memphis area.

The Dixon Gallery and Gardens is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission prices are generally $7.00 and under (October 2009), but visitors should be on the lookout for Pay-What-You-Can Tuesdays and Saturday morning free admission.
