DKB-Arena

The DKB-Arena, former Ostseesstadion is the home stadium of FC Hansa Rostock, a German football club, located in Rostock, Germany. The Arena is located not far from the city center in the Hansaviertel part of the town, near a small forest called Barnstorfer Wald and several hospitals of the University of Rostock

The stadium was rebuilt in 2004 on the site of the former Ostseesstadion, which means “Baltic Sea Stadium”, and was called so because Rostock lies upon The Baltic Sea coast. The 700 lux floodlight system which is still in use today was added at the end of the 1960s.

By public transport, the DKB-Arena can be easily reached from all parts of Rostock, by bus or by the ( stop Ostseesstadion) or the S-Bahn (stop Holbeinplatz). With a valid ticket for a home match, the public transport is free three hours before and two hours after the actual match.

1000 “business seats” and 9000 standing capacity are included in the total capacity of 29.000 places. The 9000 standing places can be turned into 5000 seats thus allowing for an audience of 25000 during the international matches. For premium partners and sponsors, there are 26 business lounges.

The arena has some great facilities: four large cabins, a lounge with a kitchen, a large area for physiotherapy, a gym with 26 new training machines, a wellness area and rest rooms are available for the Hansa Team professionals.
