The most popular option for people and their dogs is appropriately named Dog Beach, and it's just as picturesque as all of the other sandy white beaches on the island. The only difference is the prevalence of dogs of all varieties romping, swimming, and frolicking about.

Located just a short distance from The New Pass Bridge, this off-leash beach allows dogs in the specifically designed areas, and of course, owner clean-up is required. The on-site clean-up stations make that easier. Travelers cannot leave their dogs unattended, and must be sure to bring only two dogs, as more is a violation of the rules of Dog Beach.

Dog Beach is known for getting pretty packed, so travelers with dogs that aren't particularly used to large dog crowds should take care. The beach itself is quite beautiful and draws many visitors who don't have four-legged friends, too.
