Just outside the small town of Vitrac lies the peaceful and picturesque Domaine de Rochebois Golf course. This nine-hole, 36-par course roams along the banks of the Dordogne river and into the pleasant oak-covered hillsides of the French countryside. Opened in 1989 and designed by O. Brizon, the greens feature several water obstacles and landscaped bunkers. Because of its remote location, getting there can be a bit complicated, though there are several options. Bergerac airport is the closest (only a one hour drive away), but Bordeaux, Toulous and Limoges airports are all within three hours. Drivers are advised to use the motorway from Calais to Soulliac, and then from there drive only 17 miles further, though they will have to pay tolls of 35€. Golfers often stay in the charming Chez-Pascale farmhouse or the Hotel Logis De France La Hoirie, both just minutes from the course. Green fees are 25€ on weekdays and 30€ on weekends.
