Located in the heart of Houston, Texas, at the intersections of Bagby Street and Memorial Drive, the Downtown Aquarium is an interactive, unique educational experience for children that is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The Downtown Aquarium not only features some incredibly interesting exhibits on marine life native to various parts of the planet's oceans, but furthermore includes an onsite restaurant that provides a unique way to enjoy the biological diversity and wonders on display.

The aquarium's hours of operation are from 10am-10pm Sundays through Thursdays, and from 10am-11pm Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant's foods are paid separately from entrance to the Downtown Aquarium, of course, and the cost of admission is $9.25 for adults and $6.25 for children. There are rides inside the building, such as the Shark Voyage, the Aquatic Carousel, and the Diving Bell Ferris Wheel, which are all paid separately and cost $5 or less for a ride.
