One of the smaller cities in Oregon, Hermiston covers about seven miles total. Located right along The Pacific Northwest Railroad, the city is nestled amongst a number of green spaces. The city houses a number of special events each year, including The Umatilla County Fair and The Farm City Pro Rodeo.

Downtown Hermiston is popular for its proximity to a number of outdoor attractions, including hunting and camping in the Blue Mountains during the summer, and skiing and sledding during the winter months. Some of the state's most popular state parks are close to the town, including Hat Rock. It's also known for a number of mom-and-pop restaurants and stores, and friendly farmer's markets. A number of hotels are in downtown, including a Motel 6 and a Way Inn.
