Located in County Louth, Ireland, Dromiskin Round Tower is a short, round tower, standing just 50 feet high, with five large bell-storey windows and a two order Romanesque arch doorway.

The monastery at the site was believed to be founded by St. Patrick in the 600s. The modern church there dates from 1821.

Dromiskin Round Tower was damaged many times: by the Irish in 908, by the Danes in 978 and by the Irish again in 1043. It looks like a bell tower stood soometime before 1758, as it was sketched at that time with the remnants of one. By 1835, a bell still hung in the tower but was no longer used. In the 1830s, a caretaker for the tower lived in a cabin there. This cabin was taken down in 1841.

Today Dromiskin Round Tower is a national monument attracting tourists from all over the world.
