Since its inaugural flight to Liverpool on January 19th, 1940, Dublin International Airport has steadily grown to become the busiest airport in Ireland, serving more than twenty million passengers annually. Located in Collinstown, ten kilometers north of Dublin City, the airport is accessible by bus, taxi and private automobile, and will soon be accessible by the Metro North Rail, now under development. The airport is the headquarters for Air Lingus, Ryanair and Aer Arann. A second passenger terminal able to support an additional fifteen million passengers per year, and a third runway, thirty-six hundred meters in length, are currently under construction. 'The Loop' consists of twenty five shops and food vendors, to include a pharmacy, book store, jeweler, perfumery, sweet shop, guinness shop and massage parlor. Stop at O'Brien's Sandwich Shop for a quick bite before take-off, or the Caviar House for smoked salmon, fresh clams, a glass of wine or an oyster-shooter.
