Northwest Airlines, Mesaba Airlines and Allegiant Air are the principal carriers that service the airport, and daily flights to Detroit and Minneapolis, along with other regional destinations, are offered. Additionally, Allegiant Air provides two direct flights to/from Las Vegas each week.

The terminal offers the Afterburner Café, the Coffee Shop, Gift Shop and Skyline Banquet Room, which can be rented for meetings of up to 150 people with dramatic views of airplanes taking off and landing. Auto-pay parking system and in-line baggage screening process that improves security and convenience. There is also wireless internet service.

Less than a mile from the airport, the Country Inn & Suites and The Econo Lodge are nearby choices, but downtown Duluth hotels are just six miles away, and Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Duluth-Downtown Waterfront and the Days Inn Duluth.
