More popularly known as Phu Quoc Airport, the Duong Dang Airport is an airport located in the Duong Dong town, in the Phu Quoc Kien Giang province of Vietnam. Its distance to other airports is three hundred kilometers from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Ming City, one hundred thirty kilometers from Rach Cia and one hundred ninety kilometers from Can Tho. It is also two hundred kilometers from Ca Mau and five hundred forty kilometers from Lien Khuong.

Many travelers come to Phu Quoc to experience the fantastic beaches of the Phu Quoc Island and there are about four flights by ATR72 from Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport daily. On holidays, there are five to six flights daily. A new airport project is being planned due to economic developments in the island as well as its continuous increase in airport passengers.

The new airport will be constructed on eight square meters at the cost of $970 million. Upon its completion, the new airport will have a paved runway of fifty by three thousand meters. This will make it capable of handling medium aircrafts like the Boeing 767, Airbus A321 and A320. This new airport will have a capacity of approximately seven million new passengers a year.
