East London Airport is a busy though small airport that has a key role in the development of the Eastern Cape due to cargo passing through it. It can be accessed through Settler Way in East London, South Africa. Cargo planes land and depart from the airport toward other domestic locations and even to European countries such as Holland and France. It is managed by the Airport Company South Africa (ACSA).

The airport was established in 1927 and was moved several times during its lifetime. At one point, it was named after the Minister of Transport Ben Schoeman. This was in 1966, a year after the airport was moved to its current site.

At present, the airport can handle from 20 to 30 flights in a day, with around 346,000 passengers served in a year. In 2007, the airport was able to surpass the average departing passengers when it served 349,012 people. The domestic airlines that set up operations in the airport are two: SA Express and South African Airways. The largest plane that the airport can hold is the A300.
