The largest shopping centre in Tasmania, Eastlands opened in 1965. Further developed in 1971 and 1978, it is now one of the finest and most modern shopping centers in Tasmania. Located in Bligh Street in the suburbs of Rosny Park, it is only eight minutes away from Hobart City’s business district.

Eastlands features over one hundred air-conditioned stores and more than 1,445 spaces for car parking. Easily accessible by public transport, its commercial establishments are visited by thousand of locals and tourists every month. Further improvements like the inclusion of the Big W chain stores has given the center a wider variety of stores to choose from.

Three of the country’s biggest and largest store chains can be found there, namely the Coles and Woolworths Supermarket, Kmart and the Big W.

Eastlands operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and on Sundays at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
