There's a growing movement in America towards designing larger shopping centers to look more like those Main Streets of yore. One of the busiest shopping centers in Columbus, The Easton Town Center is a large shopping area designed to look more like a downtown street in a little town than an actual shopping mall.

In addition to all of the shops and stores, The Easton Town Center also has a grid that's more like a street, fountains, and public spaces where it's possible to just sit down and relax. There's even metered storefront parking, just like Main Street back in the day.

A number of upscale stores have homes in The Easton Town Center. Over in The South District, the first part of the mall to open, there's a Starbucks, Panera Bread, PF Chang's, and Cheesecake Factory for those looking for food and drink options. A number of popular stores are also in The South District, including Crate & Barrel, Barnes and Noble, Williams-Sonoma, Ann Taylor, and Talbots.

The Fashion District, or The North District, is where most of the clothing stores are, but there are restaurants over there as well. Stores for clothing include Nordstrom, Macy's, Coach, Anthropologie, Lucky Brand Jeans, Burberry, and Victoria's Secret. Non-clothing stores in The Fashion District are Godiva, GNC, and The Apple Store. There's also a McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant.

The mall is open every day of the year, but imposes an age-related curfew on Friday and Saturday evenings, that forbids children under the age of 16 from being in the mall after 9:30pm if they are without adult supervision. This is due, in part, to the large number of bars and nightclubs that are located in the mall's facilities. There's also an AMC movie theatre on the premises.
