While Einstein only lived in the second floor apartment on Kramgasse No. 49 in Bern, Switzerland from 1903 to 1905, the site still attracts visitors year round to see where one of the greatest minds of all time created some of the most important concepts and papers.

The Einsteinhaus has since been restored in keeping with the style of the days when Albert Einstein called the apartment home. The Museum aims at giving information about the famous thinker and connecting with visitors emotionally. By seeing Einstein's furniture and surroundings, visitors are instantly transported to a very personal setting.

The spiral staircase Albert climbed day after day has been left in its original state. The furniture of Einstein and his wife Mileva still rests in the apartment, as well as pictures and documents. The third floor of the Eintsteinhaus contains presentations of Einstein's biography and life's work.

Visitors can stop by the apartment dedicated to the man himself, Monday through Friday from 10AM to 5PM throughout the year. Admission costs 4 euros and guided tours are offered in several languages. Kramgasse is easily within reach of the main train station.
