Overlooking the St. Laurent River from Marche du Vieux – Port of Quebec, Espace 400e occupies the former grounds of an interpretation center. The replacement of that center is a state of the art, LEED certified event center, completed in May of 2008 as the host of Quebec City’s 400th Anniversary celebrations.

Espace 400e’s waterfront center is a modern, concrete and glass building providing visitors panoramic views of the St. Laurent. In the wake of the anniversary celebrations, Espace 400e has been utilized as a Parks Canada Discovery Centre. Situated in Lower Town Quebec City, the center is within walking distance of Parc Montmorency, the Museum of French America, and the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.

Located at 100 quai Sainte Andre, Espace 400e does have on-site parking available for visitors. Hours of operations and admission prices will depend on the exhibit at the facility, which is listed on the Espace 400e website.
