The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium is a sports arena located in the Chamartin district, north of Madrid, Spain. It was inaugurated on 14 December 1947 and it remained the property of Real Madrid football club, with a capacity of 80,354 spectators, all seated. In 2007 the stadium was named by UEFA elite stadium.

This is the home ground of the most famous football team, Real Madrid and one of the worlds famous and prestigious football venues. Since 2001 to 2006 the east side of the stadium has been extended, a new façade on Father Damien, new bars, a new press area, new audio system, panoramic lifts, new restaurants, escalators in the access tower were added, all this making from this stadium a veritably touristy attraction not just for football fans but for regular tourists, too. Tourists can enjoy every corners of the stadium thanked to “Tour of Bernabeu”. In a star studded ceremony in Nyon in 2008, the stadium was announced the venue for the 2010 UEFA Champions League Final.

The stadium van be visited daily from 10 am to 7 pm and a panoramic view of the stadium from the main stand, the dressing room, the presidential box, the player’s tunnel, benches, the trophy room and the pitch are included in the guided tours.

Santiago Bernabeu can be accessed through its own metro station along line 10, Santiago Bernabeu Metro station. The stadium can also be reached by bus lines 14, 27, 40, 43, 120, 147 and 150.
