Estadio do Dragao is an all-seated stadium with a capacity of 50,399 located in Porto, Portugal.

Estadio do Dragao is the home ground of one of the best Portuguese football teams, FC Porto and was built to replace Estadio das Antas, the old FC Porto’s stadium and as a venue for Euro 2004. The remaining space from the demolition of the old stadium was used for the media during Euro 2004, as requested by UEFA.

After it hosted the Portuguese leg of The Rolling Stones 2006 world tour, the stadium cemented its reputation as an all-round sp orts and entertainment venue, fighting off competitions from stadiums in Lisbon.

The stadium gas a floodlight system 1600 lux and is characterized by an 21 meters elegant frame squared of azulejos, the typical white and blue Portuguese tiles. The seating capacity is divided between two levels of reinforced concrete tiers. From these two tiers, only the lower one is continuous along the perimeter of the playing fields rectangle. The steel’s roof structure is complemented by a white trellis which characterizes the shape of the upper tiers. The structure of the roof is of great transparency and opens the stadium to its natural environment which provides an excellent source of light.

The best option for transportation to Estadio do Dragao is the metro, which has a station near the stadium. Also the stadium is located just five minutes drive from Porto’s center.
