Estadio Municipal de Aveiro is a stadium located in Aveiro, Portugal. The construction of the stadium began in June 2001 and after just two years it was inaugurated. The cost was nearly 62 million euro. The stadium occupies an area of 32 hectares and also includes a bus station, a plaza with 24,000 m2, a pedestrian mall and parking for 3,000 cars and 70 buses.World-renowned companies like Siemens and Daktronics were involved in the design and supply of equipment for the stadium. In 2002, started, however, the work of landscaping, (awarded to Somague) incorporating the entire system of roads connecting the stadium, more than 3,000 parking spaces, the implementation of the Plaza East and the bus station which is on top of it and the platform where the stadium is based.
The total capacity of the stadium is 30,127 seats, of which 896 are special: 90 seats in the presidential box, 460 seats in 35 cabins "prestige" and "business" and 360 seats in 55 galleries. There are still considering 897 seats for the media. The electric power installed in the center of the stadium is 12,360 kVA, that is roughly the equivalent of 4,500 apartments. The coverage of the stadium weighs 2,250 tons and occupies an area of about 24,000 square meters. It is underpinned by a system of 20 poles and rods. Each pole has a length of approximately 20 meters and a weight of over 10 tones. The Stadium has 19 bars, two restaurants, an auditorium, 6 primary care, 4 spas, four gyms, shops and a media center with capacity for 700 people.
