EUE Screen Gems is a film studio company based in Wilmington, NC and New York. EUE has over 20,000 square feet of office space for production and is the largest movie production lot east of California. The lighting and grip services at EUE are known as one of the best in the film business. Major productions by companies like HBO, NBC, Paramount and Warner Bros. are filmed here on a regular basis.

Productions filmed at EUE Screen Gems include: The Secret Lives of Bees, Dawson’s Creek, The Water is Wide, When We Were Colored, David Lynch’s Blue Velvet, Billy Bathgate, Weekend at Bernie’s, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, Nights in Rodanthe, Year of the Dragon, Domestic Disturbance, One Tree Hill, The Jackal, Crimes of the Heart, Matlock and The Exorcist III.

Tours of the studio are available. The fifty acres of film lots are open to visitors during these tours. Tours are given at twelve noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Between the months of September and May, only the Saturday tours continue. On weekends following major holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, etc.), no tours are given. No reservations are required. Tickets prices are: $12 for adults, $10 for students or military personnel, $8 for seniors and $5 for children ages 5-12. EUE Screen Gems is located at 1223 N 23rd St.
